RENEW '22 SUBMITTALS
Thank you to all the staff who submitted Renew ’22 ideas to eliminate redundancy, improve efficiencies,
identify better ways to use information technology, and cut costs without reducing services!
We received over 100 suggestions! Here are those already in progress:
o Online restitution/ fine payments
o Review of the number of instructors needed for the Probation Report and Resource Center (PRRC)
o Utilization of kiosks for client check-ins
o Staff access to scan directly from printers to their emails
o Review of all reports used in IMPACT
o Supervision of adult clients by their assessed risk of violence and general recidivism
o Transformation of the Los Prietos Boys Camp (LPBC) Program model
o Efficient transfer of files from Investigations to Supervision
These submissions are the product of the energy, innovation, dedication, and effort transforming our
Department and the County of Santa Barbara into a model for local government by 2022 and beyond.
It’s an exciting time at the County. Here’s how you can get involved:
EMBRACE CHANGE: Talk to your supervisor about what the Department or division is doing in terms of
Renew ’22 and identify ways in which your work function could be done better, faster, and more cost
effective.
MODEL THE BEHAVIOR: Let your supervisor know you are interested in serving on a process improvement
team.
CHAMPION THE MESSAGE: Spread the word about Renew ’22.
GET EXCITED ABOUT OUR FUTURE: Believe in your ability and power to influence change.
